[Work] 1) When someone says "We agreed that...", how often is that being used as a euphemism for "I decided that..."?

[Dating] 2) I got a solid rejection by a girl yesterday. It actually felt good, for a change, that someone actually had the guts to tell me "no, I'm not interested". Sooo much better than last week's LJ Genie question. This makes me wonder--is the point of AFC (Average Frustrated Chump) dating merely to toughen up us single guys to the point that we're no longer wimps who lets total strangers play billiards with ourr own feeling of self worth? It's really quite an interesting feeling, getting rejected and feeling strangely ok about it, and finally recognizing that the rest of the world moves on regardless of whether she says yes or no, and so should I. What a shot in the arm of confidence.

And people complain to me that programming computers is hard...
