Happy Year of the Rat!

Happy Lunar New Year to all! I've zestfully cleaned the house for the occasion (unlike in previous years) -- carpets vacuumed, clothes laundered, linoleum mopped, floors swept, dust sucked up, kitchen counters scrubbed, dishes washed and put away, papers filed, all the junk from the basement and garage are either tossed out, recycled, or put out for one or the other, and the basement has been cleaned up after the flood. I have purchased new bookshelves and reorganized my library by subject matter, moved the technical books upstairs, started to paint the house, rotated the dining room table at a new angle to accommodate the books, rebuilt the movie theater with actual furniture, cleaned all the overgrown ivy out of the back yard, and had the driveway rebuilt (well ok they poured it today).*

Later today: vegetarian food, visits to various people.
