Farewell, my first serious computer, may you rest in pieces at the Sunnyvale computer recycling center/trash dump. After thirteen years, it was finally time to let you go--your duties as a computer ceased in 2000, and we no longer needed you as a pedestal by the end of 2007. Even the give-computers-to-computerless-kids projects won't take anything older than a PII, hence to the graveyard you go.

Specs (1995):
- Pentium 120MHz
- 32MB EDO DRAM
- 1.6GB Western Digital WDC31600H (yes, the f'd up model that's blacklisted in drivers/ide/)
- Diamond Stealth64 3400XL, 4MB of VRAM
- 17" monitor, top resolution 1280x1024 (just barely)
- Shipped with MS-DOS 6.22, Windows 3.11 for Workgroups
- SoundBlaster AWE32, 512K of memory
- Gigantic ATX tower case
- 4X CD-ROM drive
- Colorado Travan T1000 floppy tape drive
- 1.44MB 3.5" floppy drive
- Hardware reset, turbo, and power switches

Specs (2008) same as above, except:
- 12X CD-ROM drive
- Pentium 133MHz
- 128MB FPM DRAM
- Supplemental 1.2MB 5.25" floppy drive
- Several dead hard disks ranging in size from 1.6-2.1G.
- Windows XP(?) and Mandrake 8.2.

We've also gotten rid of the 17" and 19" CRTs, dad's old PII, a lot of XT and AT keyboards, the entire collection of 5.25" floppy disks (most were 360K), a 9600 baud QBlazer external modem, and other random pieces of hardware. Frighteningly enough, the 386 remains at grandma's house.
